Singapore may be small, but it definitely packs in a lot of things to do. It's also home to some incredible spots which are taking Instagram by storm. As most people tend to visit Singapore as a stop over for a few days, we've included our favourite photography spots that can all be visited in a two day break.

The Cloud Forest
The Gardens at the Bay have several of the best Instagram places in Singapore, but the Cloud Forest may just be our favourite. Within a huge dome they have grown a cloud forest, including huge waterfall and numerous types of plants, our favourites of which were the stunning orchids.
It has several great photographic spots, but our personal favourite was the ledge at the waterfall viewpoint at sunrise.
At this time in the morning the light bathes the Cloud Forest in a golden glow, perfect for photography.

Entrance Price: The Cloud Forest dome costs $28 SGD ($21 USD). This also includes entrance to the flower dome.
Opening Hours: The Cloud Forest is open from 9am to 9pm. Last tickets sold at 8pm.
Getting there: The closest MTR station is Bay Front and the Cloud Forest is about a 10 minute walk into the heart of Gardens By the Bay. Otherwise a taxi from the city won't cost much as it is very close to the city centre.

Future World at the ArtScience Museum
The ArtScience Museum is anything but boring and Future World is a beautiful exhibition to visit.
It starts with sensory overload in a nature projection, followed by several interactive installations. However, the highlight is the Crystal Universe at the end.
Within a small enclosed walkway there are thousands of lights that work together to create incredible effects that blow you away.
It can be a little disorientating, but it is stunningly beautiful.
This place is worth visiting, even if you're not looking for an Instagrammable spot.

Entrance Price: The ticket for Future World alone is $19 SGD for adults ($13 US).
Opening hours: 10am - 7pm for the main museum but Future World closes at 5.30pm. Last ticket purchase at 4pm.
Getting there: The ArtScience Museum is next to Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. The easiest way to get there is the getting off at the Bayfront MTR.

Gardens By The Bay - Day Time
Gardens by the Bay has become the main tourist attraction in Singapore with 18 Supertrees that tower over you.
It is a really fascinating place to explore and take in the new approach to creating a green area within a city as densely packed as Singapore.
It gets really busy during the day but is virtually dead in the early morning. We visited at 8am and there were a handful of people around. Given that there are 18 Supertrees, it is easy to get empty shots if you come early.
However, it gets even better at night.

Opening Hours: Gardens by the Bay is open from 5am - 2am.
Getting there: Gardens by the Bay is very close to town, so you can easily get a taxi. It has its own MTR station "Bayfront" which is only a five minute walk from the edge of the gardens.
Gardens by the Bay at Night
The super trees lit up at night look even better than during the day.
There is also a nightly light show at 7.45pm and 8.45pm which is well worth attending, and lasts 15 minutes.
Be warned it will be very busy at night until around 10pm when only a few stragglers remained. For great night shots without the crowds come late.
Old Hill Police Station
Old Hill Police Station certainly grabs your attention when you walk past as it doesn't look like any police station we've seen before!
The colourful sashes are just asking to be instagrammed.
Ensure you time your shot as there is a busy road in front of the building to navigate!
Early morning would be best but if you are patient any time of day will work.

Opening Hours: As it is just a building front you can go any time.
Getting there: Old Hill Police Station is in the centre of the city and is very close to City Hall and Clarke Quay MTR stations.
Little India
The whole of Little India is a bright, colourful area of Singapore but the residence of Tan Teng Niah takes this to a whole new level. Just round the back of the Little India MTR station, you'll find this explosion of colour.
The colourful walls of the building make the perfect backdrop for a photo and get a glimpse of this vibrant neighbourhood.
We visited in the middle of the day and there were a couple of other people taking photos, but everyone just waits their turn so you can visit anytime. It’s definitely one of the most popular Instagram places in Singapore.

Opening Hours: As it is on the street, you don't need to worry about opening hours.
Getting there: The former house of Tan Teng Niah is round the back of Little India MTR, so getting public transport is the most convenient option. However, Little India is not far from the city centre if you prefer to take a taxi.
The Chinese Gardens
The Chinese Gardens are quite far away from the city centre, but are a beautifully manicured piece of tranquility in a bustling city.
The main instagrammable spot is the two pagodas which overlook the water with the skyscrapers in the background, giving a great juxtasposition of new and old, nature vs man-made.
There were virtually no other people around on our visit in the middle of the afternoon, and none at the pagodas at all. The gardens are a really lovely place for a wander so give yourself a bit of time to explore this one.

Getting there: The easiest way to get to the gardens is to take the MTR to Chinese Garden MTR station. It takes about 30 minutes from the city centre.
