Tibumana is one of the closest waterfalls to Ubud and is an impressive place to visit. Set within what felt like a really beautiful cove, and surrounded by flowers and jungle, Tibumana Waterfall won't disappoint. It's also a great spot for swimming, the water is deep enough, and pool big enough for a decent swim. It's also cool water, without being freezing, perfect for those steamy Bali days.
The walk to Tibumana Waterfall from the car park takes around 10 minutes and is through a gorgeous stretch of lush jungle, complete with loads of butterflies. Your first sight of Tibumana is pretty special with two separate drops, and the perfect swimming hole.
Due to the height of the drop, the waterfall is pretty powerful and a lifeguard was patrolling on our visit, waiting to blow a whistle and wave a flag to tell you to move aside if you strayed too close to the drops.
It does make it feel less wild than other falls where you are left to your own devices, but it's still a gorgeous place for a dip.
It's definitely worth visiting if you're staying in Ubud.
Tibumana Waterfall Entrance Fee
The entrance fee for Tibumana is the standard 10k price (just over $1 USD).
It's collected at a small kiosk on your way down.
Best time to visit Tibumana Waterfall
Tibumana is big enough to visit at any time of day and have a bit of space. However, if you want this place all to yourself then you'll have to arrive early.
It can get busy and people here don't tend to get out the way if you're interested in taking photos.
If we went again we would definitely go first thing in the morning for a more peaceful experience.
